It all began when I was about five or six. My sister and I would go on adventures outside through the forested edge that surrounded our property. She called it “The Great Explore.” Today, this great explore continues in my own imaginary land called the Geshire.
My name is Scott. I'm in love with all things art and design. I love stories and the power they have to change lives. Whether it be a book, a poem, a movie, through word of mouth, or through a painting stories are emotional word pictures that can touch our hearts and bring new perspectives and inspiration.
Join me and the characters of the Geshire on a Great Explore!
XAh yes... What is this place called the Geshire? The name Geshire is derived from several sources. The first two letters of Geshire - 'g' and 'e' - are an acronym for the Great Explore. You can read more about that by clicking the other rollout link on your left. "Shire" is a traditional division of land (a county) in Great Britain, Ireland, and Australia. It is also the name used in J.R.R Tolkien's fictional middle-earth (as described in the Lord of the Rings Triology) where the Hobbits reside.
But the real meaning is not in the name. The Geshire is an imaginary land residing on this here internet you are currently browsing, where adventures are had by imaginary characters. These characters each have something meaningful to say and share. Whether it be just for giggles or laughs, or a positive encouragement, playful gander, or expressions of possibility, they're here to teach, to entertain, to inspire, and to uplift. Come along and watch as they come to life.
Look for more characters to arrive and behind-the-scenes looks at each character's creations to arrive in the upcoming months and year. Glad to have you stop by the Geshire.
